Refund Policy

At The Intrepid Guide / Intrepid Italian, I truly appreciate the dedication and effort you put into your language learning. I understand that, in some cases, you may feel that requesting a refund is your only option.
Before submitting a request, please read this policy carefully. In many situations, I can offer alternative solutions to help you move forward.
Respectful Communication & Conduct
I’m committed to fostering a positive and professional learning environment. If you have any questions about your course, payments, or access, please contact Michele at michele@theintrepidguide.com.
Respectful communication is required at all times. Abusive language, harassment, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. I reserve the right to restrict or remove access to the platform in cases of serious misconduct. Where appropriate, this may be done without a refund.
Refunds are only available if the conditions below are met. By purchasing a course, you agree to these terms.
1. Refund Window by Course Type
Travel Courses & 30-Day Challenges ($97)
Includes: All 30-Day Challenges, Intrepid Italian for Travel, Intrepid French for Travel, Intrepid Norwegian for Travel, Intrepid Spanish for Travel

✅ Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of purchase and meet the eligibility requirements below.

✅ A $12 administration fee will be deducted from the refund.

❌ For 30-Day Challenges, no more that 20% of lessons should be completed
- ❌ No refunds after 30 days.
Level Courses ($167–$347)
Includes: Intrepid Italian for Confident Conversations and all Level Courses (A1, A2, B1, B2)

✅ Up to $35 administration fee will be deducted from the refund.
- ❌ No refunds after 30 days.
Course Bundles ($394-$1,197)
Includes: Intrepid Italian A1–B2 Bundle, Intrepid Italian Conversations Bundle, Intrepid Italian Ultimate Fluency Bundle

✅ Up to $50 administration fee will be deducted from the refund.
- ❌ No refunds after 30 days.
2. Administration Fees (If Refund Conditions Are Met)

✅ $12 for Travel Courses & 30-Day Challenges

✅ $35 for Level Courses

✅ $50 for Bundles
3. Flexible Alternatives (If You’re Not Eligible for a Refund)
If you’re not eligible for a refund, I may be able to offer an alternative option:

✅ Transfer your course enrolment with another course of equal value

✅ Transfer your course to a friend or colleague within 31 days of purchase (proof may be requested).
4. Acceptable Reasons for a Refund (Within 30 Days)
Refunds may be granted in these situations, provided the request meets the conditions in this policy:

✅ Technical access issues caused by the Intrepid Italian platform that prevent you from accessing the course, and I’m unable to resolve them within a reasonable timeframe.

✅ Duplicate purchase, where you accidentally purchased the same course twice.

✅ Significantly incorrect or misleading information in the course description that materially affects what was delivered.
5. Situations Where Refunds Are Not Provided
Refunds will not be granted for the following reasons:
- ❌ You change your mind or your plans.
- ❌ You don’t like the format (all courses and materials are delivered online).
- ❌ You believe components are “missing” when they were clearly described prior to purchase.
- ❌ You don’t have time (courses include lifetime access, so you can return whenever you’re ready).

❌ Medical emergencies.
6. Mistaken or Accidental Payments
All purchases are considered final. The checkout process requires you to:
- enter personal and payment details
- choose a specific course or package
- confirm agreement to the Terms and Conditions
Because these steps require clear, intentional actions, claims of accidental purchase are generally not accepted as valid reasons for a refund. If you’re unsure which course is right for you, please email michele@theintrepidguide.com before purchasing.
7. Instalment Payment Rules
If you purchase via an instalment plan:
- ✅ All scheduled instalment payments must be completed.
- ❌ You cannot stop payments because you decide to stop the course.
Failure to complete instalment payments may result in restricted access and/or action to recover outstanding balances.
8. Disputes & Payment Chargebacks
If a student initiates a dispute or chargeback:

✅ Immediate suspension: access to course materials and services may be paused while the dispute is investigated.

✅ Internal review: I will review relevant records, communications, and account activity.

✅ Resolution process: I will attempt to resolve the issue directly, and may provide evidence to the payment provider if needed.

✅ Outcome: access may be reinstated or permanently removed depending on the result.
Once a dispute is raised, the payment provider (bank/credit card company) controls the final decision, and the process may take several weeks. Unjustified disputes (including false claims of unauthorised charges) may result in permanent removal from the platform.
